It was Team Bronze for the Boys u10 at the Day 1 of the Dublin Cross-Country Championships in Phoenix Park last Sunday. The team finished on 66pts, with 9 finishers all contributing to the team on the day. Conor Ahern also received an individual medal after finishing in 8th overall. Full team was Conor, Zac Oelofse, Matthew Campion, Seamus O’Neill, Alex Dixon, Jesse Kane, Arthur Wilson, Cian Haran and Stefan Blagojevic.
The Girls u10 finished 7th in their team race with Anna Eivers taking an individual medal with 5th overall. The other team members were Faye Eivers, Hannah Galvin, Aoife Ferns and Lara Byrne.
Matteo Healy was 16th in the Boys u16, just missing out on All-Ireland selection for the Dublin team. A great first season in cross-country having only taken up the sport in recent months. Oscar Kenevey and Ale Rampone had strong runs in the Boys u18 with Oscar moving up an age which augurs well for his own u17 race in a few weeks. The Boys u12 had Sam Garland, Neil Joyce and Cian Williams running and they all acquitted themselves very well running strong throughout the race.
