Week Beginning: 05/12/22
News Updates:
Keane Battles The Mud In Cork
What a run from Keane in Cork on the All-Ireland’s on Sunday. In a classic old school cross country course, Keane was 10th Dublin boy home in a super competitive field of over 180 starters. Dublin won the All-Ireland team title with the Top 6 Dublin finishers getting the coveted All-Ireland medal. Super effort from Keane who balances his athletics, his football at Shelbourne FC and his studies very well.

Dublin Indoors 2023
The Dublin Indoor Championships will take place from late January into February in the NIA. In order to assist the coaching team in preparing athletes as best we can, we would like to get an idea of what event they would like to do.
For parents of athletes 2006 to 2012, please check your email as we have sent out requests over the past few days to get a sense of what athletes will be competing and what events they may like to do. If you are not sure, there is an option for confirming that. If you haven’t received an email, contact clongriffinathletics@gmail.com.
Training
Wednesday:
Donaghmede Park
2013 – 2016: 18:30 – 19:15
2012 & Older: 19:30 – 20:15
Friday:
Training is on in NIA this Friday again. For ages 2012 and older.
Normal time of 19:30 – 21:00.
Note, M50 traffic has been crazy of late. There is a back route to the NIA via Clonshough Road and St Margarets if it looks like the M50 is having one of its moments. If using Google Maps, simply select ‘Avoid Motorway’ and it will bring you this way. It is typically 25mins travel time from Clarehall.
This is the last Friday session before Christmas.
Sunday:
Final round of the Dublin Cross Country League is on this Sunday in Tymon Park. If you haven’t already confirmed your athlete is competing, you can do via this link here. Note, much shorter distances.
It will be confirmed later in the week if there is training in Fr Collins Park on Sunday.
