Training In January
Training will be one day a week in January in preparation.
There is an additional session on Sunday mornings for u11 looking to prepare for their 60m or 500m. This is in Trinity Sportshall (beside Brewbox Coffee) from 10:00 to 11:30 as well as Fr Collins Park for middle distance athletes.
There is a special training day in the National Indoor Arena (NIA) on 21st January. More details to follow on this but this is a great opportunity for our Academy athletes to experience the Arena and track in a relaxed environment.
Wednesdays will be General Conditioning and Training in Donaghmede Park.
A philosophy of the Club is that every athlete will have a relay team if they wish to run on one. Each relay is made up of 4 athletes and some age groups will have more than one team. In order to assist coaches in selecting teams there will be relay trials at the NIA session on 21st January.
