Some of you may have been aware of frustrations within sporting bodies, primarily basketball, around under 12s not being able to play competitive sport. Link here from the story earlier in the week.
The club contacted Athletics Ireland earlier this week to get clarification as this could have potentially impacted the indoor athletics season expected to commence in January 2022. Athletics Ireland in turn contacted Sport Ireland for clarification.
The good news is that Sport Ireland have updated their guidelines and it looks to pave the way for competitive indoor sport to commence for all ages.
