The Annual Club Awards take place tomorrow at 12:30 in the Trinity Sports & Leisure Centre after the Santa Dash. The awards being presented tomorrow are for u11 to U18 while medals from the recent Club Championships (for u8 to u10) will also be presented. Keep reading for more details:
Club Awards
Club All Stars: There will be 20 All-Stars presented, 10 girls and 10 boys. These are awarded using a points system based on individual performances at Dublin and All-Ireland Championships.
Overall Athlete of the Year: The All-Star that scored most points receives the Athlete of the Year Cup.
Breakthrough Performances: There will 2 awards to athletes who made Breakthrough Performances in championship events in 2024.
Club Spirit: There will be 3 awards presented to members who demonstrated the club spirit and ethos throughout the season. The value system that members work towards is Consistency – Resilience – Excellence – Engagement – Daring.
Teams of the Year: There are two teams of the year awarded based on performance of that team in Dublin and All-Ireland Championships. One award is for Track (Relay) Team and one is for Cross-Country Team.
Dublin Cross Country League: Two athletes will be presented with the Trophies they won at the Dublin Cross-Country League. In addition, the Endurance Coaches will present an additional Special Recognition Award to 1 athlete.
Academy Club Championships Medals Winners: Medals will be presented to 4 Club Members from each age group that competed in the recent Club Championships in November. This was based on a multi-event points concept across 60m, 200m, Long Jump & Javelin.
